EngAGE has begun program delivery in Portland, Oregon!

Our first community, Cascadian Terrace Apartments, is a 103-unit subsidized property providing affordable housing for very low income residents. The kick-off event for EngAGE programming in Portland was September 9th, with entertainment provided by Portland star singer/songwriter Tyler Stenson

Sunday, September 25: EngAGE Founder and Executive Director Tim Carpenter will be presenting at the Strategic Planning Summit: Building A Framework for Creative Aging Policy. Details here

Friday, October 7: Tim Carpenter, EngAGE Founder and Executive Director, will deliver the keynote to open the Oregon Arts Summit at the LaSells Stewart Center in Corvallis. He will focus on how artistic pursuits can make our later lives more powerful and fulfilling. Follow the Summit plans here on Facebook.


Wednesday, November 2: EngAGE Founder and Executive Director Tim Carpenter will be a featured speaker at the Sarnat Symposium for Geriatric Care. Details here.

A New EngAGE Video!

Thanks to EngAGE tech guru Miles Morse for making this excellent video about the challenges seniors face when learning to use technology, and thanks to our EngAGE community residents at Coventry Court, Dorado, and Jasmine Senior Apartments for participating on camera!


Tim Carpenter in Singapore

Tim Carpenter, EngAGE Founder and Executive Director, was invited by the National Arts Council of Singapore to give the keynote address at the Arts in Eldercare Seminar 2016 being held on September 1st and 2nd in Singapore. Tim also discussed case studies of aging-in-place, facilitating a training session for artists, and met with leaders of various community arts organizations. More here and here.
