Charmaine Atherton, Sr. Vice President, Bank of America - Ms. Atherton has 27 years of real estate and finance experience, with the last 17 years focused on affordable housing and economic development. Prior to joining Bank of America in 2002, she held such divergent roles as portfolio manager for a national syndication firm, asset manager for a regional developer, commercial mortgage banker for a regional business bank, community development lending officer for both a regional and a national bank, director of finance for a national tax credit syndication firm’s development arm, and housing director for a local non-profit development corporation. Ms. Atherton sits on the loan committee of the California Community Reinvestment Corporation, the Board of Governors of the California Housing Consortium, the Executive Board of the Los Angeles Conservancy, the Development Committee of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, and the Executive Committee of the Urban Land Institute’s Los Angeles District Council.

Arnold Bresky, M.D., Geriatric Physician - started utilizing therapeutic recreation, art and music therapy in his highly successful Nationally-Accredited and State-Licensed Free-Standing Alternative Childbirth Center in 1981. In 1976, Dr. Bresky promoted the original hospice concept by devoting a wing of his hospital, second in the nation, to improving the quality of life for the terminally ill. In 1978, he helped facilitate the national "wellness" movement. By 1997, Dr. Bresky had solely devoted his practice to geriatric care and quality of life for the aging. Throughout the past 10 years, Dr. Bresky has slowly crafted what we now call the evidence-based Brain Tune Up® program which caregivers and patients openly proclaim has dramatically improved their family's quality of life and reduced suffering. Dr. Bresky's Brain Tune Up program significantly reduces the progression of cognitive decline, sharpens attention and improves life quality.

Vicki Clark, President, Western Seniors Housing - Ms. Clark has 25 years of experience in senior housing, assisted living and property management. She is currently President of Western Seniors Housing, Inc., a firm specializing in the management of both affordable independent senior communities and assisted living properties. Prior to that, Ms. Clark worked for ARV Assisted Living, Inc. as President of the Assisted Living Division, Sr. Vice President of Operations and Vice President of their Apartment Division. During her 10-year tenure with Calmark Realty Management, she was responsible for the management of 4,900 multi-family and senior apartment units. Ms. Clark is a Board Member of the Senior's Housing Council and attended the University of Georgia.

Larry Dinovitz, Vice President, D2 Development - Mr. Dinovitz has been in the general contracting, entitlement and marketing of residential and commercial development for the past 43 years. After graduating from California State University, Northridge with a degree in Marketing, Larry went to work for Willens and Bertisch, a large commercial builder. In 1969 he joined Shareholders, a prominent apartment developer in the Los Angeles area. After building over 4,000 apartments for Shareholders, Larry formed his own company and began developing single-family homes and commercial and industrial space. He has vast knowledge of all aspects of development, and excels in land development and marketing.

Dave Ford, Region Manager, Southern California Edison - Mr. Ford has more than 15 years experience in the utility industry and currently oversees Local Public Affairs operational departments and its customers for local, regional, state and federal governments in the San Gabriel Valley for SCE. He also co-founded SCE's Black History Month celebration, "Connecting the Evolution of Electricity to Black History." Mr. Ford received a national award from the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency for his work in the area of energy efficiency and was awarded from FAME Renaissance the Environmental Protection Service Award. David earned a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Ohio University and also attended the John E. Anderson School of Management at UCLA. Other board affiliations include the American Red Cross, the American Association of Blacks in Energy, the West Hills Neighborhood Council and the California African American Museum.

Ellie Craig Goldstein, Vice President, Barry I. Goldstein Accountancy Corporation - Ms. Goldstein has over fifteen years of service in local, regional and national organizations dedicated to assisting the disadvantaged. She is firmly committed to making a long-term difference in the community as a sensitive and compassionate volunteer able to provide assistance and support of an organization dedicating to helping those in need. She held management and fund raising positions for the National Council of Jewish Women including Board Member, President and Executive Director. At NCJW she was the driving force behind formal Strategic Planning initiatives and the expansion of the organization's Council Thrift Store operation. Ms. Goldstein has served as committee member and executive at both Century City Hospital and the Eras Center. She is a published author and has been recognized by nine different charitable organizations for outstanding community service. She has been a board member since 2006 and currently serves as Chair of the Fundraising Committee and member of the Nominating Committee.

Graham P. Espley-Jones, President, Western Community Housing - Mr. Espley-Jones brings more than 15 years of experience in the affordable housing industry, serving as president of Western Community Housing, an affordable housing nonprofit, Chief Financial Officer of Kaufman & Broad Multi-Housing Group, Inc. (now Simpson Housing Solutions, LLC), one of America's leading partners in the investment and development of affordable rental communities, Executive Vice President and CFO of ARV Assisted Living, Inc and their affiliated companies, developing and managing 22 affordable apartment communities of approximately 2,500 units. He also currently serves as the managing member of BonGate, LLC, the majority shareholder of Cooper Colony Affordable Housing, Inc., the General Partner and Developer of a 135-unit senior apartment community located in Anaheim, California. He holds a Masters in Business Administration from Pepperdine University and a Bachelors in Business Administration from San Diego State University.

Melissa Lanfre, Chief Financial Officer, Beach Business Bank - Ms. Lanfre has 18 years of experience as Chief Financial Officer for four Southern California community banks and currently is an officer of Beach Business Bank, a start—up. Prior to that, she was responsible for the accounting, risk management and served as the primary financial and compliance reporting officer for Century Housing. Ms. Lanfre has a BS in Business Administration and a MS in Accounting from California State University, Northridge.

Wendelyn Slipakoff, International Healthcare Consultant - Ms. Slipakoff has more than twenty years of experience in healthcare. Because of her interaction with the healthcare system she is extremely committed to the concept of healthcare being much more than care for the body, but that it MUST include spirit, mind and heart. She has served on the board or on committees for organizations such as The March of Dimes, The American Cancer Society, Loaves and Fishes and the Rescue Mission. She is the recipient of the American Cancer Society's" Ambassador of the Year. " She is committed to harnessing the experience, creativity and compassion of our senior population for mentorship, cultural and artistic exchange between generations. She understands that change of this magnitude requires the financial and voluntary community involvement of business and government. She brings over twenty years of corporate nonprofit fundraising and marketing.

Philip Starr, Partner, Ervin, Cohen & Jessup - Mr. Starr is a partner at the Beverly Hills law firm of Ervin, Cohen & Jessup LLP, where he is a member of the firm’s Real Estate and Taxation Departments. He received his J.D. from UCLA, where he was Judicial Extern to the Honorable Stephen R. Reinhardt, Circuit Court Judge, United States Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit. Mr. Starr is a frequent author and lecturer in real estate acquisitions, leasing and financing transactions, low-income housing tax credits and general business law. He has been a panelist for California Continuing Education for the State Bar of California and is a member of the Beverly Hills Bar Association, a board member of the Westside YMCA, and founding member of the California Affordable Housing Forum (CAHF).

Gary C. Vatcher, President, National Healthcare Services - Mr. Vatcher has more than 26 years experience in healthcare. He has been affiliated with Memorial Health Services since 1984, serving in various management capacities as Chief Operating Officer of a regional PPO venture, Administrator of Physician Services, Vice President of Professional Services, and Chief Operating Officer of National Healthcare Services. Since 1993 he has served as President of National Healthcare Services. Mr. Vatcher has also served as Assistant Administrator at Centinela Hospital Medical Center and held several positions at Harbor UCLA Medical Center. He holds a degree in Business Administration and Accounting from California State University, Long Beach and has completed post-graduate courses at UCLA.

Robert Wang, M.D., Ph.D., Geriatric Physician - Dr. Wang has more than 20 years of experience as a specialist in geriatric medicine. He is board certified in Internal Medicine with a certificate in Geriatrics and received his medical degree from the University of Miami and did residencies at UCLA and the Veterans Administration. Dr. Wang has a private medical practice in Los Angeles specializing in consultative and primary care, with a concentration in treating geriatric patients. He is an Assistant Professor and Clinical Geriatrics Training Director at UCLA's School of Medicine and is a member in good standing with the American Medical Association, the American Geriatrics Society and the American College of Physicians.
